JAMMU, June 3: The Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) continued its initiatives under social responsibility by providing relief material which include dry ration, juice etc. among  the poor and needy people in the ongoing pandemic.
The ration was distributed among the needy people on behalf of JCCI by Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma, SP South Deepak Digra, DySP Parshotam Mengi, Corporator Parmodh Kapahi and Vinay Gupta District president BJP.
Arun Gupta, president CCI  while reiterating the commitment of the Chamber towards social responsibility said that the Chamber is working relentlessly in this direction by providing various facilities to the needy people in the ongoing pandemic situation.
Gupta said that Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been extending full support and cooperation to the J&K Union Territory administration by standing with it in fighting the crucial battle against COVID-19 pandemic.
He said, every individual in the business and industry sector stands with the people especially with the needy and poor section of the society fulfilling their essential requirements in the present situation. He said that the CCI shall make every effort to ensure that none sleeps hungry in this crisis situation.
Gupta also said that the COVID-19 pandemic has not gone yet and the people should follow SOPs regarding COVID-19 and bear masks, wash hands and keep social distance.
The other office bearers who were present on the occasion included, Anil Gupta senior vice-president, Rajeev Gupta junior vice president, Rajesh Gupta secretary  and Rajesh Gupta treasurer.
