Div Com takes stock of difficulties of Dal dwellers

SRINAGAR, June 1: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today convened a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the difficulties being faced by the people living within the jurisdiction of LAWDA while carrying out constructional activities.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Vice Chairman LAWDA, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, besides officers of Police, Traffic and representatives of Dal area.
The meeting discussed threadbare various aspects of the situation and the measures to tackle with it.
The Divisional Commissioner gave instructions to the concerned to mitigate the people’s problem. He directed for fortnight review meetings for issuance of permissions under rules. He also directed timely and speedy issuance of NOC to enable people to construct their houses legally.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir also reviewed the pace and progress of Court decision regarding tuition/coaching centres through video conference with the Deputy Commissioners of various districts of the Valley. He sought the compliance report from all Deputy Commissioners of the Valley for registration of tuition/coaching centres.
