JAMMU, Sept 16: The lanes and drains in Nanak Nagar area of Jammu are in very bad condition and the concerned authorities are paying no heed to get them repaired.
Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Inder Singh Sudan of Ward 44 (Nanak Nagar area) informed that few months back he visited the UEED office and demanded repair of lanes and drains in Nanak Nagar after which a Junior Engineer of UEED and a Contractor visited the spot but nothing happened after that.
Sudan also said that after that he also met Ex-En of UEED many times regarding the same issue but only assurances were given to him while the lanes and drains in the area continue to be in bad shape creating problems for the residents of the area.
