JAMMU, Sept 16: Principal Sessions Judge Kulgam Tahir Khurshid Raina has rejected the bail application of one Shameema, who was involved in NDPSA case.
“As per the prosecution, on 15.11.2020, police received an information through reliable sources that husband and wife namely Gh.Mohd Laway and Shameema were selling the intoxicating drugs (charas) to the youths on the exorbitant rates”, the court observed, adding “on this search warrant was obtained from the Executive Magistrate 1st. Class Kulgam and the residential house of the accused was searched”.
“This lead to registration of case under NDPS Act with Police Station Kulgam. During course of investigation, 2 kgs and 500 grams of charas was recovered from the kitchen of residential house of accused”, the court said, adding “the accused are not entitled to grant of bail at this stage”.
