KATHUA, Mar 15: The Deputy Commissioner Kathua, O P Bhagat today inaugurated the digital numbering of house falling under the Municipal Council Kathua limits.
The scheme was started first time in Kathua to allot the house number to every house hold in digital way with Google Map tagging with the help of unique App. The residence of DC Kathua situated in Ward No 1, is allotted House No 1 and SP Kathua is allotted House No 2.
The project was started in 21 wards of Kathua town under the direction of Director Local Bodies Jammu. While talking to media persons, DC Kathua O P Bhagat said that the Kathua town has not any house number earlier. With the digital numbering of houses with unique ID, a person can locate the residents detail with the help of Google map. He said the numbering of houses will benefits every individual and even in Government Sector.
The president Municipal Council, Kathua, Naresh Sharma said that a contract is given to a NGO to execute the house numbering works efficiently. The house holder will be given a certificate and house number plate with the contribution of Rs 50 from every house. He has asked the people to cooperate in the job to complete the work well in time.
