RAMBAN, Mar 15: Two teenaged boys drowned in nallah near Magarkote area here today.
As per police sources, two boys namely Abid Ahmad Manhas (15), son of Mushtaq Ahmad Manhas and Touqer Ahmad Manhas (14), son of Rafiq Ahmad Manhas, both residents of Sujmanta Ramsoo slipped into the nallah near Magerkote area of Ramsu.
After receiving the information, police team immediately rushed to the spot and launched search operation.
While body of Abid has been retrieved, searches are underway to fish out the body of Touqer.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased boy was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Reports said that the boys were cousins and were returning home from a nearby playground.
Ramsu police has taken cognizance in this regard.
