DIG for steps to minimize accident deaths

JAMMU, Apr 25: DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Ashkoor Ahmed Wani held crime review meeting of district Samba.
All the pending inspections were reviewed and found that the investigations are being disposed-off in time on professional line. The supervisory officers were directed to put in extra efforts for disposal of few old pending cases of district Samba.
DIG directed the Officers to take preventive measures to minimize the chances of accidents, so that precious lives can be saved. He also directed them to enhance police patrolling in their areas of responsibility to minimize the chances of thefts.
The Officers were also directed that each police naka established on NHW should be inter-connected, so that any vehicles involved in hit and run case could be stopped and seized.
DIG also directed the Officers that police check points especially during nights hours should remain on high alert to neutralize any threat and should also attribute to stoppage of menace of vehicle thefts from Jammu.
Meanwhile, DIG Ashkoor Wani donated water cooler along purifier to Government Higher Secondary School Kootah in district Kathua under Civic Action Program (CAP).
On the occasion, SSP Kathua Neeva Jain, SO to DIG Rajneesh Pran, other police officers, inhabitants of the area and sarpanch were also presents.
DIG and SSP interacted with students and assured full co-operations from police. People also projected their problems.
DIG laid stress on strengthening police public relation for betterment of the society.
SSP Kathua awared the people about drive launched by Kathua Police for women empowerment and assured them to organize women self defence training program for young girls in that area as soon as possible.
