JAMMU, Dec 23: Keeping in view the long dry spell in the State and consequent problems to the people in general and the farmers in particular, J&K Dharmarth Trust has decided to perform a Haawan to please the Rain God and seek His blessings.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Trust office bearers, chaired by its president, B R Kundal.
After deliberating upon the present situation, it was decided to perform a Hawan at Ranbirashwar ji Mandir, Shalamar Jammu on Monday, December 26 at 8 am. The Purn Aahuti will be given after 12 noon.
The meeting appealed the people to participate in the Hawan to seek the blessings. Prasaad will be offered after the Purn Aahuti.
Meanwhile, the president Dharnarth Trust BR Kundal visited oldest heritage temple of Raghu Nath Ji, situated at Sui Sumbly of Marh Block. Kundal was accompanied by the secretary of the Trust, Shashi Khajuria and other office bearers. A Puja was offered in the temple.
Later the team went round the temple complex and assessed the possibilities of utilizing the open land of the temple for generating income to maintain the complex. Kundal discussed some issues with the temple management and local prominent people of the area and asked them to renovate and decorate the complex to attract more devotees. He assured them all possible help from the Trust.
