DGP sanctions assistance of Rs 4.32 crore for Cops

JAMMU, Mar 8: Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh today sanctioned over Rupees 4.32 crore welfare loan and relief in favour of 451 officers and personnel of J&K Police.
A sum of Rs 90 lakh was sanctioned in favour of 102 personnel to meet the expenses of self-treatment or for treatment of their dependents. The welfare loan given for the treatment purpose varies from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,00,000. Besides, an amount of Rs one lakh each was sanctioned in favour of 317 personnel for their own marriage, and marriage of their sons/daughters.
In addition to this, loan of Rs one lakh each was sanctioned in favour of 19 police personnel for higher education of their wards. Moreover, a sum of Rs 50 thousand each was sanctioned in favour of 13 persons for performing rituals like circumcision/mundan of their wards.
Among 102 personnel who were given welfare loan for the treatment purpose, Rs 3,50,000 was sanctioned in favour of 20 personnel. as welfare relief which ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 (non refundable). The amount was sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.
