DGP rewards 25 CRPF personnel for excellent performance, sanctions scholarship

SRINAGAR, Sept 25: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has accorded the grant of Commendation Certificate Class-1 along with cash reward to twenty-five CRPF personnel for their excellent performance on counter-terror front.
As per the order issued by Police Headquarters, ASI/GD Nounihal Singh has been rewarded with a Commendation certificate class-1st along with cash reward of Rs 20,000, CT/GD Narendra Kumar and HC/GD Rajesh Kumar have been rewarded with commendation certificate Class-1 along with cash reward of Rs 15,000 each for showing excellent presence of mind and swift action during a terror attack on August 17th this year. All three personnel are from F/119 Battalion of CRPF.
Under another order, twenty-two CRPF personnel have been rewarded with commendation certificate Class-1 along with cash reward of Rs 5,000 each for their excellent performance in counter-terror operations. Those who have been rewarded under this order are INS/GD Arpan Gogoi, ASI/ GD Ganga Ram, HC/GD Shanker Bhowmik, HC/RO Yeshpal Singh, CTs/GD Jagdish Chandra, Rajibhandique, Surojdehingias, Gautam Saikia, Annu S.A, Benjitbinong, Sanjhonu Duloy, Nimai Bera, Majji Ravi, Tapas Jena, CT/BUG Sunny Kumar, CT/DH G. Iavarasan of QAT-176 BN of CRPF. SI/JD S.R. Lasker, CTs/GD Hemanta Saharia, Lokeshwar Dass, Ajay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar of CTT-G/176.
Meanwhile, DGP Dilbag Singh has sanctioned meritorious scholarship in favour of 6 wards of serving police personnel. He also sanctioned scholarship in favour of 10 wards of SPOs who laid down their lives in violence/militancy related incidents in the J&K.
Rs 61,500 was sanctioned in favour of six wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80 per cent and above marks in the annual examination of Graduation and Post Graduation during the academic session 2019-2020.
Rs 12000 each has been sanctioned in favour of Iram Mehboob (MSc 82.6%), Farhan Manzoor (BTech 91.1%) and Adil Ahmad (BSc 90.5%). Rs 8500 each has been sanctioned in favour of Farhat Mehboob (BA 85.1%), Mehak Khurshid (BTech 84.1%) and Sahil Sharma (BTech 80.4%). The meritorious scholarship is sanctioned out of Central Welfare Fund for the academic session 2019-20.
The DGP also granted scholarship of Rs 76000 in favour of ten schools going wards of deceased SPOs who laid down their lives in violence/militancy related incidents in the J&K.
Rs 10000 each has been sanctioned in favour of four wards who are studying in secondary classes or pursuing graduation. Similarly, Rs 6000 each has been sanctioned in favour of six wards who are studying in different primary or middle classes. The scholarship is sanctioned out of Police Pariwar Fund for the academic year 2019-20.
