JAMMU, Jan 24: The Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh along with Additional Chief Secretary (FC), Home Department, RK Goyal, today chaired the 48th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Housing Corporation Limited (JKPHCL).
Pertinently, ACS (FC) Home Department, RK Goyal is the Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of JKPHC.
As per a statement, Director PHC, Deepak Kumar, ADGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh, ADGP Headquarters PHQ, MK Sinha among other police and civil officers also attended the meeting.
In his welcome address, MD, Housing Corporation, Deepak Kumar presented a report with regard to the functioning of the PHC. While presenting the agenda of the meeting, he stated that e-tendering process is in place from the past three years.
Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, in his address, directed to conducting regular meetings of board members claiming, “it would enable them to know the functioning of the department closely”.
He said that board has the responsibility to ensure that all the works of the corporation are being conducted efficiently. He directed for timely completion of work in hand while taking into account all the technical evaluations.
During the discussions on the agenda items, the DGP impressed upon the corporation to make efforts for providing low cost housing to the police personnel for which he directed ADGP Jammu and ADGP Kashmir to identify suitable lands.
RK Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary (FC), J&K Home Department, gave valuable suggestions to improve the working of the corporation.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh decorated Imtiaz Ismail Parray with DIG rank in a pipping ceremony held at Police Headquarters. ADGP Coordination PHQ, Danesh Rana was also present on the occasion. Both the police officers congratulated Parray and his family.
Pertinently, Imtiaz Ismail Parray has held various important posts including SP South Srinagar, SSP Crime, SSP Srinagar, SSP Ganderbal, OSD to then Advisor, K Vijay Kumar and Commandant IRP-8th Bn. On his promotion, Parray has been posted as DIG (Training) PHQ.
