JAMMU, Jan 28: Yogesh Chander Modi, Director General, National Investigation Agency (NIA), today met Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here.
The DG briefed the Lt Governor about important issues relating to the internal security situation in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Lt Governor advised close surveillance on all fronts to meet the security challenges for ensuring safety and security of the people.
Meanwhile, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Army Commander, Northern Command, also met Murmu. It was Northern Army Commander’s farewell meeting with the Lt Governor before relinquishing his command.
The Lt Governor expressed appreciation for the sincerity and devotion with which Lt Gen Ranbir Singh has carried out his responsibilities and presented a farewell memento to him.
