JAMMU, Sept 24: Activists of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) here today organized a protest rally under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta against non-availability of water in Jammu.
The protestors were carrying empty buckets in their hands.
Addressing protesters Ashok Gupta said that people of Jammu are being deprived of basic facilities and water supply in the city is extremely poor.
He quoted Jal Shakti Department to say, due to non-availability of electricity, water cannot be pumped from the pumping stations which leads to shortage of water.
“On the other hand big massive generators have been installed at pumping stations in Kashmir which keeps the water supply going on and the same should also be done in Jammu as well,” Gupta maintained.
“Areas of old city such as Karan Nagar, Kali Jani, Reshamghar, Raghunath Pura etc have been hit most by the shortage of electricity and water supply.
Ashish, Nanki, Bhajo, Sushma, Krishan, Labba, Prem and others were present in the protest rally.
