Deputations call on CM

JAMMU, Apr 2 : Various deputations, Legislators, heads of the institutions and individuals called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here today and discussed matters concerning their organizations and of personal nature.
The Vice Chairman Advisory Board of Pahari Speaking People, Khafil-ur-Rehman in his meeting with the Chief Minister talked about issues relating to the development of Paharies and strengthening of the Board.
The Chairman Anantnag Cooperative Bank (ACC) Sheikh Mohammad Rafi discussed issues relating to the Anantnag Cooperative Bank and sought Chief Minister’s support for its strengthening. He said more than three lakh stakeholders are presently associated with the Bank, adding that the deposits of the Bank have grown up to Rs. 200 crore this year. He said the Bank has advanced Rs. 15 crore worth loans to the agriculturists for the year 2012-13 and achieved recovery of same amount during the said year.
A deputation from Ganderbal in its interaction with the Chief Minister brought to his notice some demands of urgent public importance and sought his intervention in addressing these.
A deputation led by former MLC, A. R. Badana presented a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister relating to the development of Gujjar, Bakerwal and Pahari people. It also requested for special recruitment drive by the Police Department in remote and hilly areas for youth belonging to poorer sections of the society.
Legislators Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari, Rachpaul Singh, Ajaz Ahmad Jan, Shahnaz Ganai, Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Kazim Beig, former Minister Choudhary Talib Hussain, former MLC Abdul Rehman Tukroo and various other political activists in their separate meetings with the Chief Minister discussed public interest issues and sought the Chief Minister’s help in early addressing of these issues.
Various individuals also met the Chief Minister and brought to his notice personal issues and sought the Chief Minister’s help to get these redressed.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing and said that the demands put forth by the deputations, public representatives and individuals would be given due consideration for redressal.
