Defeat politics of exploitation, ensure victory of Cong: Bhalla

JAMMU, Dec 1: Former minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla today urged the people to teach BJP a lesson for their misdeeds with Jammuites by voting Congress candidates in upcoming DDC elections.
While conducting series of public meetings in favour of Congress candidate Gurmeet Kour at Gusain Chak Bhalla said that time has come to teach BJP a lesson. He said Congress will regain its lost ground in the upcoming DDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir by defeating the communal and divisive forces in the country.
“People should remain guard against the forces that pose a challenge to the basic idea of India and secularism promoted by the Congress. The party workers should be ready to defeat the designs of the communal and divisive forces in the country,” he said.
Bhalla further said Congress has made huge contributions and sacrifices for unity and integrity of country will never compromise to retain this at any cost.”Since its formation the party has remained committed to the principle of secularism and socialism and for strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation. It was the Congress party under whose banner the entire country irrespective of caste, creed, colour or religion joined hands and fought against the mighty British rule”, he said adding that the party provided the much- needed able leadership to the country that resulted in the country emerging as one of the great powers in the world.
He said Congress is the only secular and unifying force and it will continue to safeguard the secular fabric of the country and the State. “I want to remind BJP about the promises made by it in Jammu during the election in 2014 which have fallen flat,” Bhalla asked.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include Block president Sodagar Singh Saini, Block president Amrit Bali, Sarpanch Avtar Singh, Corporator Shobat Choudhary, Ashok Kumar, Pawan Bhagat, Darshan Motton, Ravi Pal, Panch Bittu, Jasbir Singh, Sunil Slathia beside others.
