JAMMU, Feb 26: The PHE Department today organised a workshop at Government Higher Secondary School, Barmeen in which Principal of the School Neeru Bala along with her staff and students participated.
Khaleel Poswal, Additional SP Udhampur was the chief guest while A L Anand, Executive Engineer PHE Udhampur was guest of honour.
All local Sarpanchs, Panchs and other prominent villagers participated in the function.
Later, a massive rally was taken out by the school children displaying and shouting slogans for judicious use of safe drinking water. A temporary water testing lab was also installed to check the samples of drinking water.
A debate was also organised in the school in which students of different schools participated. The chief guest distributed prizes among the winners.
