DDC Poonch listens people’s issues

POONCH, Apr 6: With a view to resolve public issues and to further strengthen the relation between public representatives and District Administration, various delegations of Sarpanchs and Panchs hailing from different blocks of the district, including Mendhar and Poonch today called on Deputy Commissioner Poonch Inder Jeet and apprised him about their problems.
The delegations put forth demands pertaining to development of their respective areas.
They highlighted several issues and demands and sought early up-gradation of main road from Sher -ie- Kashmir Bridge to K.G top, besides extension of several interior roads connecting various government institutions, timely execution of undertaken developmental projects.
Other issues and demands projected by the delegation included uninterrupted power supply during scheduled hours, adequate ration and drinking water supply in view of holy month of Ramadan and other festive activities ahead.
The DDC gave a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine concerns would be taken on topmost priority with concerned quarters for early redress.
Later, a delegation of religious organization from Ram Khund temple Mendhar also met District Development Commissioner and appraised him about various issues concerning the historical religious place.
The DDC also responded the delegation affirmatively & assured for timely redress of problems so that pilgrimage don’t face any difficulty.
Earlier, the delegations greeted DC for assuming the charge and wished him best for the future endeavors.
