DDC inspects ongoing developmental works

RAJOURI, Jan 10: District Development  Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today conducted tour of Panchayat Sasalkote, block Dongi which has been taken up  under BADP to be developed as Model village .
During his tour, he inspected various developmental works to the tune of Rs 50 lakh being executed so far to meet the urgent developmental need of the village. He asked XEn R&B to prepare the estimate  for construction  of three class rooms and an examination  hall at Hr Sec School , Dongi.
Laying stress on the creation  of sports facilities  in Hr.Sec School, Dongi, DC asked  the concerned  to take up the  levelling  works of the play ground  besides  construction  of boundary wall around the play ground for providing better facilities to the sportsperson .
Addressing the public on the occasion, DC said that the main objective of the BADP is to meet the special developmental needs and well being of the people living in the remote and inaccessible areas by providing essential infrastructure in these areas.
Meanwhile, directions were passed on to  the concerned officers to ensure expeditious execution  of development  works to extend the desired benefits to the people. He impressed upon them to put in concerted efforts for judicious and effective utilization of funds besides removing bottlenecks hindering developmental works. He also impressed upon the officers to work in a coordinated way, ensure   regular monitoring to achieve quality parameters and effective implementation of the schemes.
On the occasion, DC was also apprised about the demands and problems highlighted by the locals and assured them to mitigate these in a phased manner.
Responding to the demands for augmenting water supply in the area, the DC asked XEn PHE to chalk out a comprehensive plan to resolve  the issue on  priority.
