SAMBA, Nov 12: District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mubarak Singh, today inaugurated first branch of IDBI Bank in the presence of local dignitaries and senior bank officials including DGM IDBI Diwakar Bhatia.
The DDC while speaking on the occasion said that opening of branch of IDBI Bank in Samba will certainly give boost to the economy of the area and will offer every banking solution. He impressed upon the bank authorities to provide easy loan to the unemployed youths so that they can established their own units.
The DDC impressed upon all the bank officers to gear up their field staff to assist and ensure their full cooperation in achieving 100% financial inclusion of all households in the district and directed the officers present to make their best efforts for achieving 100% results.
Speaking about the launch, DGM IDBI, Bhatia, said: “Our extensive branch network in Jammu & Kashmir reiterates our commitment to take formal banking services to every part of the state, particularly the unbanked and under-banked areas. Our objective is to empower more people by offering the full range of banking services, especially in the industrial areas, thus making a difference in their lives and also helps in achieving 100 % financial inclusion.
Among others AGM IDBI Ashutosh Singh, Branch Head Himanshu Bansal, and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
