DDC holds public outreach prog, reviews status of development works

DODA, June 10: District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode today held public outreach programme at Chownri in Gandoh Sub Division and took stock of grievances of the public besides reviewing status of development works.
The issues raised by the people during the camp were flat rates of electricity shall be rationalised, dilapidated road connectivity, pending land compensation, acute power curtailment, Jatota to be mentioned on tourism map of Doda, upgradation of Girls HS to HSS Jatota, bridge at Chownri, solution to case Kharangal to Kota road, Gandoh-Jai road blacktopping, sheep-animal mobile sub centre for the area, wages of daily wagers of PHE to be released, lack of staff in HS Sinu, release of pending payment of MGNREGA, bad telecom network in the area, veterinary centre for the area, requirement of more Patwari, requirement of J&K Bank branch, solar lights besides other grievances.
DDC directed the PMGSY to report in three days regarding the court stay of Kota-Kharangal road. He also directed the BSNL authorities to check the network frequency in the area so that problem faced by the people of the area shall be solved.
He asked the JKPCC and R&B to submit the report regarding Jai-Gandoh road financial status in complete form within next three days.
DDC informed the people regarding rationalization of teaching staff, which is already taken care under Zimedari project.
Moreover matter of J&K branch for the area will be taken up with bank authorities, besides issue of compensation for land acquisition will be looked after with priority.
SDM Gandoh, BDO Gandoh, Tehsildar Gandoh, CDPO Gandoh, Range Officer Gandoh besides officials of other concerned departments were also present on the occasion.
