SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Ajaz Assad today convened a meeting to review the preparedness and measures to curb Dengue and HINI (Swine Flu) influenza virus in the district.
The DC directed the Municipal authorities to form special squads for
carrying out cleanness drives in the areas from where dengue, swine flu cases are being reported. Fumigation and clearing of drains should be done regularly to prevent and control spread of vector borne virus.
Deputy Commissioner directed the health authorities to provide free medicines to these patients and other essential help to such patients for their proper treatment. He asked all concerned Departments to work in close coordination so that dengue and H1N1 influenza virus is controlled in the district before the onset of winters.
