DC Ramban inspects various offices, asks officers to achieve targets

RAMBAN, Feb 8: Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam today visited various offices and institutions to review their functioning and check the attendance of the staff.
The Deputy Commissioner visited Block Development Office, Polytechnic Collage, Industrial Training Institute, besides Animal and Sheep Husbandry offices.
He directed Principal, Polytechnic College, to formulate a plan to start job-oriented training courses in consultation with Railway, NHAI and other construction agencies. He advised for developing skilled force in different technical streams to meet local requirements and having employability potential outside the district.
Superintendent ITI was directed to enroll more youth, especially girls to enable them to earn their livelihood.
He was also asked to upload the data of all pass-outs and enrolled trainees on a website so that agencies can access them for placements.
Both the officers were asked to help pass out trainees in their job placement as well as to establish start-ups by providing them handholding and knowledge about various schemes.
The DC also enquired about bottlenecks and other requirements necessary to improve public service delivery, besides ensuring timely and quality execution of work. He directed BDO to speed up the pace of work to achieve tangible results.
He urged the doctors of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments to prepare a comprehensive plan for boosting production in the district.
Earlier, the officers apprised the DC about their problems including shortage of staff, requirement of ambulance for Animal Husbandry department, completion of Polytechnic College building and construction of boundary wall at AH centre-Batote.
The DC assured necessary action on all highlighted issues.
