BJP leader demands relief for fire victims

JAMMU, Feb 8: BJP district vice president, Kishtwar, Ravi Kuamr Thakur has urged the authorities to provide relief to the families in Janakpur Dachan and Sounder Dachan whose houses gutted in devastating separate incidents of fire during last two days.
In an appeal to District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ravi Thakur urged him to send a team of revenue officers to the twin villages to assess the losses as all the house hold goods of the victims were destroyed in fire while their houses were razed to ground.
He demanded that the fire victims be provided free ration for one year with accommodation till they can make arrangements of new shelters for themselves. They should be also given free timber and oxidized tin for the construction of their houses. He urged the authorities to probe how the fire incidents took place in the twin villages one day after the other.
