DC holds public interactions at Mugalmaidan, Chatroo

KISHTWAR, Oct 1: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Saugat Biswas  accompanied by ACD Kishtwar and sector officers of  all line departments conducted a tour to  Mugalmaidan and Chatroo  tehsils and convened Awami Darbar in which huge gathering of people including Panchs and Sarpanchs participated. They projected their demands in respect of drinking water, power, road connectivity, medicare, civic facilities, dilapidated and damaged  school buildings, pending liability of MGNERGA, land compensation, bad condition of Kishtwar Chatroo road, acute dearth of teachers in schools, lack of accommodation in  school buildings, lack of doctors in medical institutions and stagnation of work on various link roads.
DDC assured the public in general that all kinds of liabilities will be cleared soon and directed all the sectoral officers to speed up the process and release available funds within a month. The people demanded restoration of construction works on different roads including Gurinalla,  Maliknar, Watsar, Mullar, etc. in response to which DDC Kishtwar  instructed for time-bound action.
Taking serious note of sluggish enrollment for Aadhar card in many villages, he directed the concerned tehsildars to submit list of such villages for drawing up a village-wise schedule.
In education sector, DDC Kishtwar directed ZEO Inderwal to submit list of teachers who have been attached in other schools so that they are detached and sent back to their original places of posting. He further warned that if any teacher did not report to their original place of postings strict action will be initiated against them.
Later, he also visited HSS Chatroo and interacted the students and teachers  in their class rooms. To solve the accommodation problem, Biswas directed ACD Kishtwar to immediately repair the damaged roof top of the building for that the required funds will be made available for the execution of the work. Keeping in view the acute lack of accommodation in other schools where the students take their classes in open, he assured the public that the superior kinds of tents fitted with necessary teaching aids will be made available immediately, so that the class work may not suffer as long as the work on the main buildings are on.
Replying to the demands of compensation not paid so far to the people, whose houses , orchards, live stock, crops were washed away in recent flash floods DDC Kishtwar assured that the matter will be  redressed.
