DB grants 2 months time for implementation of Shetty Commission report

JAMMU, July 6: In a petition filed by the employees borne on the cadre of subordinate courts seeking implementation of Shetty Commission report so far as recommendations pertaining to the Ministerial staff are concerned, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sanjeev Kumar today granted two months time to file compliance report failing which court will be constrained to issue bailable warrants to the respondents.
When the contempt petition came-up for hearing, Division Bench observed, “in compliance of the order dated July 4, 2017  Senior AAG H A Siddiqui has produced a communication dated July 5, 2017 mentioning that within two months from today the directions issued by this court shall be complied with”.
“In view of the statement made by Senior AAG after obtaining instructions, we are inclined to defer the hearing of the contempt petition to September 8, 2017.  It is made clear that in case, compliance report is not filed this court shall be constrained to issue bailable warrants to the respondents”, the DB added.
