JAMMU, Apr 9: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Sindhu Sharma today disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) after Government conveyed to the court that action has been taken against illegal stone crushers in Doda.
After hearing both the sides, the DB observed, “the State authorities have inspected the stone crushers. Against those which were operating without permission, action had been taken as such nothing survives in the petition”.
In the status report filed by Deputy Commissioner Doda, it has been mentioned that out of 12 stone crushers two have been found to be meeting all the norms whereas ten were functioning illegally as such were closed.
