JAMMU, Apr 29: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the residents of Sunjwan and Sainik Colony through Rashpaul Singh and others against the illegal encroachments of nallah flowing towards the Sharma Resorts from Haji Basti, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar today directed the Deputy Commissioner Jammu to ensure strict implementation of the orders and submit compliance report within a week’s time.
After hearing petitioner Rashpaul Singh and private respondent Ashiq Hussain in person, DB observed, “compliance of order dated May 27, 2013 whereby the Court had directed Deputy Commissioner Jammu to ensure adherence to his communication No DCJ/SQ/2010/11/1505-39 dated August 11, 2010 and also to communication No. FC/Cord. 297/13 dated 12.02.2013, has not been ensured”.
