CUJ signs MoU with VLCC for joint certification in Beauty & Wellness

JAMMU, Mar 11: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and VLCC Institute, Gurgoan, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly offer programme in the area of Beauty and Wellness under Community College.
CUJ entered into MoU with a purpose of building collaboration and strengthening the understanding between the two organizations and conduct skill development programme in Beauty and Wellness in collaborative mode with a mutual co-operation. The scope of this MoU is to define the areas of work where both the parties desire to work together to benefit from each other’s strengths and expertise.
CUJ Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ashok Aima, presided over the session and made some interesting remarks on the Beauty and Wellness industry and its potential in terms of employment and entrepreneurship. He further announced besides financial support University Business Incubation Centre would provide the necessary mentoring to students of Community College who wanted to start their own ventures.
Deepanshu Khurana, Head Education Services, highlighted about the industry and the prevailing placement scenario in the Country. Under the MoU, VLCC would provide the resources, in terms of qualified, experienced faculty, study material and placement support to the students for the Diploma in Beauty and Wellness whereas CUJ will provide the infrastructural facilities. Khurana assured that best faculty would be provided for the conduct of general education and skill component. For Central University of Jammu MOU was signed by Jit Singh, Registrar, CUJ and Deepanshu Khurana, Head Education Services, VLCC.
Prof Lokesh Verma, Principal, Community College, CUJ, informed that monthly scholarship of Rs 1000 would be provided to the enrolled students as envisaged in the scheme.
