RAMBAN, Mar 11: 166th Battalion of CRPF organized a free medical camp at village Nowgam in Banihal, here yesterday, under Civic Action programme 2020-21.
Under the supervision of Prabhat Chandra Jha, DIGP, CRPF; Puneet Kumar Kauldhar, Commandant and Naveen Kumar Yadav, Second-in-Command of 166 Bn, CRPF, the camp was organized CRPF medical staff, headed by Dr Amit Kumar, CMO (OG), CRPF, in association with Dr Rabiya Khan, BMO & Dr Sameer Abdullah, MO of Health Department.
Locals of village Nowgam, Banihal took benefit of this welfare initiative of CRPF. Dr Amit Kumar and his medical staff diagnosed the health issues of attended people and provided medicines and blood investigation free of cost accordingly. Further, Dr Amit Kumar briefed about the seasonal and common diseases and its precautionary measures to change the better living style for good health. The people of village Nowgam, Banihal in District-Ramban expressed their gratitude towards CRPF for this social service.
On this occasion, Renuka Deepika Soreng, A/C, CRPF; Dharmender Kumar, A/C, CRPF and Subordinate officers and personnel of 166 Bn CRPF executed the programme in presence of Mafooza Begum, Sarpanch of Village Nowgam and other senior citizen.
Puneet Kumar Kauldhar, Commandant said that this medical camp will be continued to be organised on March 11, 12 and 13 in the village Arbal, Banihal, village- Tethar, Banihal and village- Kharpura, Banihal respectively. 166 Bn CRPF is here not only for security but social service to the community at large, so that public should utilise our services without hesitation and fear, he added.
