REASI, Mar 11: On the occasion of Annual Shiv Khori Mela, held at TRC Ransoo, Department of Tourism, Jammu and District Administration Reasi organised two plays “Corana di pajeki” (Dogri), and “Beti Bachao Beti Padao” (Hindi), staged by Sangam Theatre Group Reasi.
On the occasion, Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, was the chief guest while Rashmi Wazir, SSP Reasi; Rajinder Kumar Sharma, : ADC Reasi; Anil Kumar Chandail, Dy Director Tourism, Publicity, Jammu; Ambika Bali, AD Tourism Katra; Block Development officer, Naib Tehsildar Pouni and concerned officials from other departments were also present.
The play was written and directed by M Akram Khan. The artists, who acted in the play, were Anjali Anand, Inder Jeet Singh, Rajat Sharma, Raja Aamir Khan, Reshav Banathia, Sarita Devi, Pankaj Sharma, Akashdeep Singh, Rohit Kumar, Shadab Khan, Anil Kumar and Akram Khan.
Large number of pilgrims, young generation, locals and senior citizens of the adjoining areas witnessed plays .The Actors generated awareness among people about the COVID-19 and “Beti Bachao Beti Padao” with creative expressions.
The chief guest appreciated the artist who staged the wonderful performance and also appreciated the efforts made by the Sangam Theatre Group .The play was highly appreciated by the audience too who encouraged the artists with clapping.
