Jammu, Mar 11: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) representatives visited here today , to meet Rohingyas to have an assessment of the situation on the ground.
Four member team of UNHCR representatives led by Kiri Attri, External Relation Officer visited Kiryani Talab and adjoining areas of Bathindi on Jammu outskirts.
The team interacted with some of the Rohingyas and inquired about their wellbeing.
The team visited Jammu days after the Government detained 175 Rohingyas in Hiranagar ‘Holding Centre’ pending their deporation to Myanmar.
