JAMMU, Jan 16: Miran Sahib police today arrested a criminal along with a weapon, which he was carrying illegally to commit crime.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka at Simbal Camp and nabbed a criminal along with .12 bore rifle, which he was carrying illegally to commit crime.
The accused has been identified as Narinder Singh, son of Pritam Singh of Ward No 1, Simbal Camp, he said, adding that the criminal was carrying rifle 12 bore with himself without arms license.
“Narinder Singh is a notorious criminal and was involved in various cases registered with police station Miran Sahib”, he added.
A case under FIR number 7/14 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation into the case is going on.
