Dr Raina gets Top Rankers Excellence Award for Academic Leadership

JAMMU, Jan 16: Dr Roshan Lal Raina, Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML), has been nominated for the Top Rankers Excellence Award for Academic Leadership.
The award by Top Rankers Management Consultants, with processing support from ‘Jindal Global Business School’ and a high caliber ‘Intellectual Support Panel’, has been announced to Dr Raina in view of his multi-faceted contributions to the cause of management education.
The award will be presented to Dr Raina by Kapil Sibal, Minister of Communication & IT and Law & Justice, in the inaugural ceremony of the 15th National Management Summit on “Accelerating Business Transformation – Best in Class Practices and Culture”, organized by Top Rankers Management Consultants, on January 17, 2014, at Hotel Imperial, Janpath, New Delhi.
Dr Raina has vast experience of providing academic leadership and administering day-to-day activities of premier management educational institutes. All of this has been successfully demonstrated by him as Dean: Planning & Development, particularly during the absence of the Director at IIML as also when he was the Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi.
In terms of research, he has authored 6 and edited 11best selling books, journal volumes and conference/seminar proceedings. Dr Raina has published 70 research papers in national and international level peer-reviewed journals and has also presented (mostly on invitation) 120 papers in national and international conferences and seminars.
As a highly respected trainer in the ‘corporate world’ as well as with ‘government’ organizations, Dr Raina has been actively involved in conducting advanced, innovative and need-based management development programmes and workshops.
He already holds the unique distinction of having bagged three of the top professional honours/awards.
