Crime Branch books Finance Company for duping investor

JAMMU, Dec 14: Crime Branch Jammu has booked unregistered Finance Companies for duping innocent investor of his hard earned money.
A case FIR has been registered against Bansi Lal, son of Late Chuni Lal Gupta of Gali Khilonia Wali, Pacca Danga Jammu, owner of unregistered Finance Companies with the name and style Bansi Lal Gupta & Co & Shri Durga Trading Co, Peer Mitha Jammu, for duping investor to the tune of Rs 12, 50,000/-.
Complainant- Parveen Khanna of Prem Nagar, New Plot, Jammu lodged a written complaint with Crime Branch, alleging therein that the accused who was running Pvt Finance Company near Peer Mitha Jammu used to collect daily amount of Rs 100 from the depositors including the complainant towards “committee”, the maturity of which used to be 25 months. The complainant did not get any payback from the accused in between but waited for maturity amount. However, the accused did not return the maturity amount to the complainant and instead assured him that his money was safe with him and whenever the amount was required by the complainant the amount would be paid to him. Avoiding the complainant on one or the other pretext, the accused defrauded the complainant for an amount of Rs 12, 50,000 (Twelve lakhs fifty thousands).
Taking cognizance of the complaint, Crime Branch Jammu initiated a preliminary enquiry and during investigation, the allegation of cheating the complainant by the accused for an amount of Rs 12, 50,000/- has prima-facie been established. After this, a formal criminal case has been registered against the accused and investigation set in motion.
