LUCKNOW : In a set back to Bollywood producer-director Karan Johar,a local court here has rejected the plea of Johar to close the case against him for insulting the National anthem in his super-hit film ‘Khabhi Khushi, Kabhi Gham’. Judicial magistrate Gyan Prakash yesterday rejected the plea of Johar,to close a case against him in which it has been alleged that he insulted the National anthem in the said movie. The court observed that prima facie the allegations appeared to be correct.
It was pleaded on behalf of Johar that the movie was passed by the Censor Board of Film Certification which did not find anything insulting in the movie.
A local resident Pratap Chandra filed an application in the court in which he had charged Johar insulted the National anthem in the movie which amounted to an offence. (AGENCIES)
