JAMMU, Sept 5: Corporator Ward No 60 and senior Congress leader Rajni Bala today dedicated water cooler to the residents of Mohalla Dhok Paloura.
Party activists, prominent residents and senior citizens were present during the inauguration of water cooler.
Speaking on the occasion, the Corporator slammed the BJP Government for depriving the masses of basic facilities. She criticized the Government for not showing its serious concern towards the suffering of the people of the area.
Rajni said that the inhabitants of Mohalla Dhok Paloura have been facing hardships due to the lack of basic amenities including ration, water and electricity, courtesy to the BJP leaders who are claiming that J&K has witnessed massive development since the BJP Government has come up in the Centre.
“All the promises made by BJP leaders with the people have remained unfulfilled,” she said and assured the people that their issues related to basic amenities will be addressed at the earliest.
Later, Rajni also met the prominent residents of the area and listened to their issues. The residents apprised the Corporator that they have been facing problems due to dilapidated condition of lanes & drains and unscheduled power cuts besides scarcity of water in the area.
Rajni Bala assured for taking the matter with authorities concerned for their early consideration.
