NEW DELHI, Apr 18: Coriander and jeera prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market here today owing to subdued demand amid adequate stocks.
Coriander prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 8,100-13,100 per quintal.
Jeera common and best quality also declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 10,500-10.600 and Rs 12,900-13,400 per quintal.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and jeera prices.
Following were today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 12,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 595-725, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,300-1,330 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,400-1,500.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 630-690, cardamom (colour robin) 640-650, cardamom bold 660-680, cardamom extra (bold) 850-880 and cloves (kg) 870-970. (PTI)
