Copper eases on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, July 12:  Copper prices were down by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metal traded in a tight range in scattered deals and settled at last levels.
Traders said weak demand from consuming industries mainly helped copper prices to trade lower.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap declined by Rs 2 to Rs 438 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 109-115, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,090-1,096, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 438, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 113, Lead imported 111, Aluminium ingots 155, Aluminium sheet cutting 156, Aluminium wire scrap 158 and Aluminium utensils scrap 155. (PTI)
