Srinagar, June 26: A police man was today killed after his teargas rifle went off accidentally at Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police constable who was deployed today in Pampore town sustained serious head injuries after being hit by the tear smoke shell. The incident occurred when the tear gas rifle of the cop went off accidentally.
The injured cop identified as Mehraj-ud-Din, a resident of Tral was immediately shifted to Sub-District hospital Pampore where doctors declared him as brought dead.
