Connectivity issues to be addressed on priority: CM

JAMMU, Mar 20: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today said that issues relating to the road connectivity would be addressed on priority.
Reacting to the issue raised by Congress MLA and former Minister, Mohammad Sharief Niaz during the Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Omar said, “I assure the House that all genuine demands of the people relating to connectivity particularly in the erstwhile Doda district would be addressed on priority”.
Earlier, Minister of State for R&B, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo informed the House that 92 road projects were under execution in Bhalesa and Badherwah blocks and Charal and Basnoot areas of Badherwah constituency, adding that the construction work on Thathri-Kalotran road was taken up in two phases under CRF and Rs 40.92 crore have been incurred so far on the execution of this road project.
“There is no liability in R&B divisions of Badherwah and Bhalesa”, he said. The Minister, however said that additional amount of Rs 15.04 crore was required for 40 approved road schemes for clearance of work done claims.
He also gave details of on-going link roads in Badherwah constituency.
