Congress unnerved by BJP campaign: Dr Jitendra

JAMMU, Mar 12: Describing the delay on the part of Congress party to announce its candidate for Kathua-Udhampur Constituency  as a manifestation of its leadership’s confusion and nervousness resulting from overwhelming response to the BJP campaign in the constituency, BJP Candidate for Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that it is a compliment to the people of the constituency who have sent out a loud and clear signal of their support to Narendra Modi as next Prime Minister of India.
Addressing a press conference at Party Headquarters, here today, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, the enthusiasm of people to the BJP campaign in Kathua, Bani, Basohli, Billawar, Hiranagar, Udhampur and Reasi during the first phase of electioneering has sounded alarm bells for the Congress leadership as a result of which none of the Congress leaders is ready to take up cudgels.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, who had to postpone his visit to Doda and Kishtwar today on account of bad weather there, said wherever he has gone so far, the people have come out wholeheartedly in support of BJP because they believe that this is the only party which can liberate them from the clutches of corruption, mis-governance and dynasty rule.
Kathua-Udhampur-Doda is a vast and heterogeneous constituency with variable problems in each area, said Dr. Jitendra Singh and added if given representation in Lok Sabha, the BJP will raise vide range of issues ranging from border area problems in Kathua district to lack of tourism development in Reasi to communal strife in Kishtwar.
Dr Singh also expressed his grief over the road mishap in Kathua yesterday in which three youth lost their lives and conveyed his heat felt condolences to bereaved families.
BJP State vice-president Col. Uttam Singh, State general secretary & election incharge for Constituency Rajiv Jasrotia, State secretary Munish Sharma, State spokesperson Sanjiv Sharma, Dr. Gagan were also present in the press conference.
