JAMMU, May 5: To felicitate former Minister Choudhary Gharu Ram on his recovery from a cardiac related ailment, Suchetgarh people organized a public meeting at R S Pura, here today.
While addressing the gathering, Gharu Ram thanked the voters for their prayers, which saved his life and said that he would continue to serve the people, particularly of Suchetgarh constituency. He appealed people to strengthen Congress party, which was all set to form the next Government on its own in Jammu Kashmir.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma chaired the public meeting while member AICC and former Minister Gulchain Singh Charak was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Numberdar Sobha Singh, Congress block president Robail Singh, Swarn Choudhary, Sarpanch Prem Singh Kala, Arjun Singh, Rashpal Singh Gill, Bachan Singh, Paras Ram, Raj Kumar Bhagat, Bhagat Ram Chand, Jang Bahadur, Yoginder Singh, Satya Devi, Capt Kamaljit Singh, Chura Ram, Daljeet Singh Transporter and Vishwa Gupta.
They extended their full support to Ch Gharu Ram and expressed faith in leadership of the latter who has been serving the constituency.
