Cong organizes workers meeting

VIJAYPUR, May 5: MLC Subash Gupta and other senior Congress leaders addressed a meeting of the party workers near Gurha Morh, which was organized by PCC member Arun Sharma, here today.
While addressing the meeting, Mr Gupta appealed people to strengthen Congress and claimed that the party was all set to form next Government in the State on its own with Ghulam Nabi Azad as the Chief Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Sharma highlighted several local issues and stressed that only Congress could provide a stable and people-friendly Government. He also recalled the achievements of Gover-nment during Chief Ministership of Ghulam Nabi Azad in the State.
Senior Congress leader Vinod Mishra and ex-MLA Prem Lal also addressed the gathering and announced that Arun would be party candidate from Vijaypur constituency in the next Assembly elections.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Bishamber Singh, Baishakhi Ram, Raj Kumar, several Panchs and Sarpanchs.
Earlier, MLC Naresh Gupta also inaugurated the lane work, for which he had sanctioned money from his Constituency Development Fund.
