DOORU (Anantnag), Nov 19: Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra has accused the Congress of being equally responsible for the misdeeds of the present coalition regime.
“Congress is equal partner with NC in promoting misgovernance, anarchy, corruption and repression during the past six years of the disastrous rule,” Mr Karra said while addressing election rallies here to enlist support for the PDP candidate Farooq Indrabi.
Karra said the people have decided to teach both these parties a befitting lesson in upcoming elections as both NC and Congress are responsible for pushing the State into such a mess which would take any capable administrator years to set right.
Urging the youth to lead the movement for change, Karra said the people have suffered immensely under the present anarchist dispensation that has become a symbol of political chaos and denial of justice. “I foresee the State’s people in general and the youth in particular leading the movement for change in Jammu & Kashmir during 2014 political battles to take the functionaries of the present dispensation to task not only for their actions but inactions as well,” he said and added that the present Government has wasted precious six years of Jammu and Kashmir because of NC and Congress.
Karra further said that the poll boycott being enforced by various quarters has only led to the systemic disempowerment of the people and this time around the boycott could bring a permanent political disaster to the State by facilitating BJP to manage seats in Kashmir in the garb of poll boycott.
He urged people to vote decisively in favour of PDP to prevent BJP and its pocket-sized friends from causing any harm to the special status of the State.
PDP candidate for Dooru Assembly segment, Farooq Indrabi also addressed the rallies.
