Compensation, Govt job demanded for family of electrocuted woman

RAJOURI, June 28: President, All India Jat Mahasabha, J&K, Manmohan Singh has demanded financial compensation as well as a Government job for the family of a woman belonging to the community who killed due to electrocution in Nowshera, Rajouri.
Singh along with many Sarpanchs and prominent members of the community visit Nowshera and met the family members of deceased woman Veeran Devi of village Kalsian, tehsil Nowshera. The husband of the deceased namely Mohinder Lal was seriously injured in the same incident and is under going treatment at GMC Jammu. Veeran Devi had died on spot at her residence due to short circuit caused by fall of 11000 volt main cable falling on their domestic power line.
While interacting with the media persons, Singh stated that the accident occurred due to sheer negligence of PDD department. He urged the Government to institute an enquiry to pin point the responsibility of the incident. He also stressed upon for sanction of minimum compensation to the tune of Rs 10 lakh and a Government Job to the family members of the victim.
Meanwhile, Choudhary called up a meeting of prominent members, Sarpanchs and volunteer youth of community Nowshera to discuss the issue and arrange immediate financial help to the victim family. He himself paid Rs 20000 for the welfare of family.
In the meeting, a youth adhoc body of All India Jat Mahasabha was framed with Ajay Kumar Choudhary as president, Sorav Choudhary as vice president, Bindu Choudhary as general secretary, Ritesh Choudhary as cashier, Kuldeep Choudhary as media secretary and Raju Choudhary and Rattan Lal Choudhary as secretaries. It was also decided that all Sarpanches from Jat community shall be deemed to be member of the committee.
