Jammu, June 28: Department of Botany Government Degree College Surankote organized a National Level Online Quiz Competition based on pictorial features of General Botany under the supervision of Dr. Jasbir Singh Principal and Basharat Ali In-charge Department of Botany.
Students from various colleges, higher secondary schools and Universities across India participated in the competition.
First position in the competition was bagged by Priyanka Sharma student of Semester 6th of GDC Akhnoor, 2nd position was jointly shared by Anamika Sharma, Rabia Kouser and Shuvam Mankotia, students of B.Sc semester 4th, 6th and 4th from GDC Akhnoor, Mendhar and Billawar whereas 3rd position was clinched by Mohd Irfan, a student of 6th Semester from GDC Rajouri.
The contest was based on the basic field study and importance of Economic Botany through pictures.
The main aim of the contest was to boost the learning abilities of the students amid the stress during the COVID-19 period.
