JAMMU, Oct 31: Seeking active support of youth of the State during ensuing Assembly elections, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party chief Mehbooba Mufti want to take along youngsters in changing the fate of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The State he said has been pushed back on the path of development and Coalition Government deliberately allowed Municipal Corporations (MCs) and Block Development Councils (BDCs) to collapse. Had elections to these democratic institutions been held well in time, powers would have been decentralised right up to grass root level. Choudhary Hamid asserted that PDP stands for empowering people at grass root level.
