Clerks demand removal of pay anomalies

JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association in its meeting here today demanded removal of pay anomalies with clerical cadre.
The meeting which was chaired by the president of the Association Babu Hussian Malik accused the Government of not honoring its commitments made in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 in this regard as well as regarding settlement of other demands of the employees.
The meeting demanded 4000-6000 grade for junior assistants, 4500-7000 for senior assistants/steno typists and JSA, 5500-9000 for HA, Junior stenographer, statistical assistants as well as reorganization of clerical cadre.
It also demanded immediate release of 10 percent DA from July this year, increase in Medical Allowance to Rs 1000 per month, formulation of policy for regularization of daily wagers, casual laborers, consolidate laborers and adhoc employees  and enhancement of retirement age to 60 years.
Mr Malik also appealed the State Government employees to come on a single platform for settlement of their demands. Bharat Bushan, Javed Ahmed Malik, Khursheed Ahmed Dewan, Sanjay Dhar, Menakshi Sharma, Munish Sharma, Madan Sangral, Anil Kesar and others attended the meeting.
