Class 11 candidates get mass promotion

JAMMU, Sept 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education today ordered mass promotion of all the candidates appearing in Class 11th Annual (Pvt)/Bi-annual 2020-21 Examination of Kashmir Division, scheduled to be held from tomorrow.
The same policy shall be adopted in the forthcoming Class 11th Annual (Pvt)/Bi-Annual examination 2021, Summer Zone of Jammu Division as well.
A formal notification in this regard was issued today by the JKBOSE, according to which these candidates shall be promoted to next higher class (Class 12th) on the analogy of previous year’s result, declared during Covid 19.
The decision has been taken due to paucity of time left for conducting forthcoming Annual (Regular) examinations in Kashmir Division/ Winter zone area of Jammu division.
As per the notification, the candidates shall be allowed to appear in the forthcoming Higher Secondary Part II (Class 12th) Annual (Regular) Examination 2021 in Kashmir Division/winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, subject to the condition that they are provisionally admitted in schools and have a minimum of 66 percent (online/offline) attendance during the current academic session (2020-21), to be certified by the concerned Heads of School/ Institutions.
The candidates, who have applied for subject change/additional subject and other categories, shall also be declared as pass in Class 11th in the respective subject as one time exception, provided they have qualified the main examination in all compulsory subjects.
