JAMMU, Mar 6: A Civil Defence training camp was held at GGM Science College during which a detailed lecture on first aid, medical emergencies and disaster management was given by Dr Rajinder Thappa, Dy Divisional warden of Civil defence Town Jammu to NSS volunteers of the college.
On the occasion, students were trained for first aid treatment and transportation from site of incidence to nearby health institution. The programme was carried out in the complex of GGM Science College with the help of Dr Rajinder Singh, NSS Programme officer in collaboration with civil defence organization under the supervision of Dy Controller, Civil Defence, Tejinder Kour.
Principal of the College, Dr Ajeet Angral, appreciated the initiative of Civil defence officials and Dr Rajinder Thappa for providing detailed lecture to students for first aid treatment mitigation in cases of disasters and accidents of any type—natural or unnatural.
Transportation of patients in emergency call was shown in practical demonstration by the instructor of civil defence with the help of Dr Rajinder Thappa, in the field of GGM Science College, Jammu.
